Noel Gourdin is an R&B artist from Boston Massachusetts. He is most known for his song called "The River"(2008).
This past April, Noel Gourdin released the CD Fresh the Definition; the lead single is the wonderful track, “Beautiful”, which is a song dedicated to all women, but especially Black Women/Women of color, who have become objects of sexual adjectives, objects, and colorful name.”Beautiful”, the song is an open apology for the way that men have been treating them. It is a song of encouragement, love, and empowerment.
Noel Gourdin delivers something that is missing today, especially from the male artist: TRUE HEARTFELT LYRICS.
Check out the spiritually uplifting track “Brand New (Fresh)”. With so many problems going on in the world today, this song gives you the motivation to not only be strong, but Noel Gourdin manages to remind you that in all you do, God is with you.
This is truly a smooth track.
For the ladies, the track, “Not Around” is a man's confession of how he really feels about his woman and it is not referring to anything sexual. The confessions continue with “Been a Long Time”, which is the romance of love.
When was the last time someone was romantic with you?
The Quiet Storm formats are going to love the offerings from “Fresh the Definition”. When you have songs like “Only You” that gives off that Al Green vibe, even the wise silver head one’s heads will be nodding to this groove.
Then there is the joint, “Save Our Love”(duet with Courtney Harrell), which is about addressing the issues of their relationship and fixing the problem instead of the negative pack your bag, name calling song. All in love, if you are looking for some music to chill, be that soundtrack for where you are in your life, then do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of this CD.
Great Summer Jam music.
