The mission of CAMP 415 is to help improve the relationship between The Syracuse Police Department and the minority community, especially the African-American Community, to encourage and aid the enlistment of African-Americans in between our members and the members of the community, to better the African-American community, and to aid CAMP 415 members in appointments and promotions.

To date CAMP 415 has been involved in various community activities including:

Operation "Clean Up" of McKinley Park,

Provided security for the Dorsey Levens Foundations "One Love Weekend",

Marched in the Juneteenth parade

Co-sponsored a winter break basketball tournament with the Brighton Family Center.

Additionally, CAMP 415 worked with the Community Management team in an effort to reduce juvenile gun violence. In educating the community about police operations, CAMP 415 worked with Minister Mark Muhammad of the Nation of Islam and developed a Use of Force Training Program. Also, CAMP 415 members have made numerous personal appearances and schools, recreation centers and churches and in effort to educate and inform the minority community about police that affect them.
