Juneteenth Again: Duped, hoodwinked and bamboozled again

Syracuse, NY (ENet News) - In a 2002 post-standard newspaper article, Mr. Jesse Dowdell was quoted as saying he could not find anyone that looks like him to run Juneteenth.

For all the people reading that article that did not know, Mr. Jesse Dowdell is an African American. He promised that he would replace the white owned event company, that he hired to coordinate Juneteenth, with an African American company. However, three years later, this white owned company is still coordinating Juneteenth.

In addition, several jobs, which were held by African Americans, were eliminated since changing to a white owned event company in 2001.

Where is the quality control? Someone benefits from this organized confusion and it is more often not Black people.

In every poverty stricken community across the United States, it has a poverty pimp.

Juneteenth commemorates the freedom of African Americans. I conclude that Mr. Jesse Dowdell is African American but he is not a free African American.
